We have had over a foot of snow and it snowed all night and I was lucky to get me vehicle out of the driveway without getting stuck.
They had to de - ice the plane and it took forever and we left 45 minutes late which was cutting it close for my next flight, which was boarding as I arrived at the gate in Seattle.
The plane was chock a block , everybody going home to LA for xmas I guess. After walking for miles it seemed to the International Departures we then had to take a 2km. bus ride to the aeroplane which was hidden away with an Air New Zealand plane out in the middle of nowhere.
Was an 8hr 20 min flight to Lima, quiet an old jet , and they only had like 3 air hostesses and the food was not exactly great nor the service but they were very pleasant and helpful.
Went through immigration fairly quickly and got 90 day stamp and walked right through customs no hassle maybe because it was 1am. Taxi to Ibis Hotel ($18) and in bed at 2am.
Following day went to Lucky Lodge which is in Miraflores, great location, clean and quite with good wifi and the staff can speak English and are very helpful.
They have a beautiful coastline that you can walk along for miles which is situated way above the shoreline with stunning vistas.
Took the bus to Lima Centro and did the churches, Plaza de Arma de Lima and strolled into Rima where they don't recommend you to go, where the normal working class live. What a change in living conditions compared to Miraflores where it is super clean and beautiful gardens and high end coastal apartment's and fancy stores.
