After a good breakfast we left El Calafate and boarded the bus at 9am for the 190km ride to El Chalten. Checked into the exotic Hotel Lago del Desierto. We hit the trail for Senda a Laguna Torre 10km hike, one way, soon after noon. Was a beautiful day with blue skies and some clouds. I forgot how far 10kms was, luckily we could drink from the rivers which was the most amazing water I have ever tasted in Argentina, since I was a little I'll prepared and didn't bring any or any food.
We made it and it was a fantastic hike and my knees felt like that they needed a greasing whereas Charmain was fine after 22km. Got to the hotel and had my usual one litre off Quilmes beer which was well earned. Had dinner at a terrible place, I had breaded chicken but the meat was like dark red, just horrible.
