We got a bus to Puno which is on Lake Titicaca in Peru via Copacabana border crossing which was real quick and easy. A French couple that pushed in front of the que and then I had words with her and she told me her daughter was up front and I asked her what relevance does that have, but it zinged over her head.
Our hotel was up on the hill on the 4th floor overlooking the city. We walked down to the plaza and got my phone card working again and then for dinner at a real funky bar which was most enjoyable, and in walked the French couple and of course,we laughed, and then when I left I just went over to them and said bon appetit.
The next day we took a full day boat trip to the island of Tequila which took 3 hours to get to and stopped at the floating islands which is just offshore and consists of about 400 floating islands which has maybe three to four families living on each one.
Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable Lake in the world and shared by Bolivia and Peru that's why Bolivia actually has a Navy to patrol the lake believe it or not. We went back to the plaza and had dinner again and bought our bus tickets to Lima for the next day as there is not much to see in Puno and you can only go on Lake Titicaca one time.
