DAKAR 2018 DREAM IT, LIVE IT, DO IT !

Having breakfast at Casa Grande the Greeks stumbled in from the jungle. It turns out the tall lanky Greek guy was super sick and they tried to get a helicopter to get him out but to no avail. Hee had to walk to the boat which was not there and finally got one and went to the hospital where they gave him an IV and he's good to go now.

We flew back to Lima ($150 RT) and back at Lucky Lodge.
Went to the staging area of the Dakar, where they all park the vehicles after scrutineering. All the SA bikers were parked and got to see Gils de Villiers, and Hennie van Niekerk come in and they waved at us as they saw our colorful flag. Then when they parked they chatted with me in Afrikaans and took my flag and had me take a picture of them holding it by their car, except it was upside down.
Ended up having lunch with them and got the inside scoop.
