Well we didn't get back our passports in time so have changed plans and heading to Cusco when Brandon arrives on Xmas.
I spent the day walking the shoreline and watching the surfing dudes and being Xmas eve everything shut down early and ended up with no supper , not that I need another meal.
Went to bed but at midnight was like a war zone with explosions going off for twenty minutes. Dozed off and then in walked Brandon, an hour into Xmas so I guess that was my gift, a son wanting to hang out with his Oldman for three weeks is pretty special.
Took a plane to Cusco, only takes an hour and then a bus up to Casa Grande which is in the middle of town and all the overland bike guys pull in here and found it on iOverlander which is the best app around. Had a nice Xmas meal at a restaurant overlooking the Plaza de Aramas where they had been protesting the release of the ex president Fujimori who only served 6 years of a 25 year sentence for bri ery and having hit squads that murdered a few people.Corruption here is just like in Africa, same ol same old, but different.
Cusco is a pretty neat city with 360 000 people and plenty of police around, real clean and quaint cobble stone streets with lots of small shops.
Following day went on a day tour of Sacred Valley which was pretty neat with lunch included ! Those Incas built stuff to last and in the most difficult places. Where ever you go here you either ascending or descending over a pass and been overtaken or overtaking someone else, a little to close most times.
