MACHuPICCHU

From Cusco you take an hour and a half bus ride to Ollantaytambo. Then a hour and twenty minute train ride which follows  a raging river for 43km. and then you are in Machupicchu. Stayed one night and up at 4:45 am to catch bus for a 40 minute switchback ride up the mountain to the site.
We hiked up Montana Machupicchu which is at 3016 meters. What a hike , took us one hour and fifteen minutes , brutal hike straight up on a stairway. At the top was completely clouded over which was a bummer, but it broke up a little. Headed down to meet our guide which didn't work out but the clouds vaporized and we could see it all and what a sight to behold. The Inca God's came through and it was beautiful,  then it rained . We stood in line for the bus for forty five minutes and just made our train by seven minutes back to Ollantaytambo. Bussed back to Cusco and back to Casa Grande for one night.
